Welcoming the World to Join Us on Zoom!
Hello I am Marilyn Shannon. Do I look a little surprised in the photo? Well, truly I am surprised. Surprised to be doing another conference. Surprised at the state of the world we live in. And surprised to be offering an in person conference and an online conference! Perhaps flabbergasted may be the appropriate word!
And delighted! This is the fourth major conference that I have organized. The best part of doing this has been to create a community of readers, seers, diviners and empathic souls gathering to share and support each other. Over the past year with the pandemic changing our lives this community has stayed in touch on Zoom. I would have shrivelled up I think if not for the ability to stay in touch somehow.
Physical borders may have been closed. That has not stopped us from getting together in the past year! As the conference dates of November 11 to 13 2022 creep ever closer it has become apparent that this conference called Magic, Divination and Me needs to be made available in more than one way. So, we are throwing open the virtual doors. Some of us will gather in person in Kingston Ontario. If you cannot join us in Kingston we have added an online option.
If you are unable to attend in person please join us online. We are working with our audio-visual partners here in Kingston to connect with you virtually so that you feel as if you are at the conference in real time. For the first time ever, this means there will be recordings of the sessions available for all registrants. Now, that is a real bonus isn't it?
We are developing the online experience for you as we go along, so register soon to get updates. Join the Kingston Tarot Lenormand Facebook page to attend Zoom classes that will fill you in on everything you need to prepare for the conference. There are recordings of these sessions available on Facebook too. Almost all the Conference Zoom sessions through the year on Facebook are free.

Exploring Keys to Unlock the Houses in Lenormand with Rebecca Walker Pickering on Friday afternoon
Let’s begin our time together focusing on the KEY Lenormand card; one of the more positive cards in the deck. It supports us as the recipients by revealing knowledge and secrets. What insights can the KEY provide for you during this workshop? The KEY can also highlight upcoming events and help make significant decisions when used in combinations with other Lenormand cards. For example, when KEY and HOUSE appear together, it could indicate a significant family matter or literally a key to a new residence. We will examine ways the KEY and other cards can help guide your day and enhance a reading when used together with other cards, charms and crystals. By looking at the Lenormand cards’ symbols on their own and in a variety of spreads and combinations, you will be led to working with Lenormand Houses in the Grand Tableau. Lots of playing with cards with like-minded folk; what could be better?

Tarot is a spiritual practice, but it has a physical aspect. We work with the cards themselves; we hold them in our hands, we shuffle and lay them out, and yet they carry the intangible energy of the archetypes, the divine, and our own higher selves.
It is a powerful thing to combine intention, spirit and magic into a physical form. If we can create a vivid feeling and image of what we desire on the energetic level, and then lock that image into a tangible object, we create a magical tool, a touchstone that will keep us on track to manifesting our dreams.
This is what a talisman is.
In this workshop, we will:
*Talk talismans. What they are, how they work, and how they have been used from ancient times until today
*Work with specialized Tarot practices and spreads to tap into our source energy and gain laser sharp clarity on what we want to manifest in our lives
*Dive deep into meditation, visualization, affirmation and ritual to create, consecrate and activate our own magical talisman, a piece specially selected for this event
*Learn how to continue to work with our talisman going forward

Lori Lytle provides mystical yet practical guidance with Tarot as Inner Goddess Tarot in Toronto. She is a solitary witch, a priestess, a diviner, an ordained minister with the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry, and an introverted empath. She has been a featured presenter at international Tarot conferences including the Northwest Tarot Symposium in Portland, the Light & Love Tarot Reading Festival in Montreal, and the World Divination Association’s first virtual online conference. She was one of the instructors for Ethony’s popular online Tarot Summer School in 2020. Her current work focuses on creating magical talismans with the support of the Tarot, as well as Tarot practices that are designed specifically to feed the sensitive introvert soul.
Lori holds two Masters degrees, one in Ancient History/Archaeology and the other in Museum Studies. She taught English in Japan for several years, and planned fundraising and educational events for not for profit cultural organizations. Now, she divides her time between reading and teaching Tarot, and performing hundreds of happy and inclusive wedding ceremonies. Identity Magic - The Art of Becoming!

Magic is often looked at as a way to make something happen in the world. A tool to get us the better job, to meet the right person, or make money come from out of the air. This approach is rooted in the idea that if we change the world we will get what we want. Don’t get me wrong that is a wonderful way to go when it is possible. However, often we need to make some kind of shift ourselves to capture that blessing. It might be easy to bring more business but do you have the capacity to handle it well? A new love might be called to knock on our door but can we break our bad habit around communication? Often we don’t even really know what we want - why not work on ourselves to bring that knowing to consciousness?
All of this falls into what I call identity magic. The art of working magic on ourselves to become the person who has what we want, can handle what we desire, and knows who they are and is clear and articulate about it. Any area of our life can be subject to working on ourselves. In working to grow my business I realized my ability to work with and understand the numbers behind the movement of money was a big problem. Once I realized this I created a series of work to create a new identity where I was competent in the language of accounting. It’s still not my favourite but it is easy and the rewards have become obvious.
Though theoretically we could do this work using any tools I prefer to work with cards, sigils, words, and self portraits. You don’t need to be an artist to make this work. Just willing to draw lines on a paper. Together we’ll explore how to bring about the identity work required to manifest your dreams and desires. We’ll use the cards, a spread I’ll share, some art supplies, and each others support to work some profound and powerful magic.

Andrew reads and teaches tarot out of his store The Hermit’s Lamp as well as online, and around the world. His work resides in the place where divination, spirit, magic and science are all one thing. How will I do all this on Zoom? We plan on making good use of the Breakout Room feature on Zoom. When we work in groups at our table, you will have a table too in your small group in the breakout room. This feature will help you get to know a few people really well. Just like attending in person.
